Very enjoyable, and I learned a lot. Who knew you could buy a $35,000 Panama Hat?! Or that the Pope's advance team could tell a church to replace historic carvings because they don't look fancy enough? The story of how the canal location in Panama over Nicaragua was chosen by the US by a comparison of two images - volcanoes in Nicaragua and a flat weight-bearing arch in Panama (symbolizing the stability of the land in Panama versus the potential volatility in Nicaragua). Thanks for a great and informative tour!

The tour was very good. Our guide was on time. He took his time with us. He went at our pace. He was knowledgeable about the city and shows us the must see places and history. I was especially satisfied as I really wanted a panama hat and he took us to the best place to learn about and chose a panama hat. Bring a hat as it is very hot in the day. After about 5p it gets better. Take water.

Richard was an awesome tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. He was open to questions and helpful guiding us back to our hotel. The time on the tour was perfect and never was there difficult walking around the old city. Highly recommend! Value for money.

A wonderful tour led by a local guide who grew up in the area and had a local’s view of the stories of many of the places we visited.

Great to have a tour by someone who knows the area and live there before it became gentrified.
