Continue to the National Museum to admire one of the best examples of traditional Cambodian architecture that was built when Cambodia was under the French colonial. Then you’ll see the outside of The Royal Crematorium next to The Royal Palace and the public park in front, known as a local spot to relax and socialize. You will get the best photos in the morning as all biuldings and entrances are facing to east. Next, the Cambodian-Vietnam Friendship Monument commemorates the former alliance between the two countries. It is located not far from the Royal Palace in Botum Park. From here, you’ll continue to see the King Norodom Sihanouk Statue, which stands impressively on the largest park strip in Phnom Penh. Next, you’ll see the striking Independence Monument, representing the independence of Cambodia from French colonization. Before going to the Genocide Museum, you will have a lunch break at a good local restaurant. Then, walking in the Russian Market before heading to the Killing Field. Note: You are required to pay the ticket at the Killing Field $6 and $10 for Genocide Museum which is included the audio guide player and headphone, you will have to get the audio guide to learn about the history of the Khmer Rouge regime but if you take a Small Group Tour by Van, there will be a tour leader who will talk briefly about the history and escort to watch the short movie video of the killing field before you using the audio player. Finally, explore the satellite city or the “Paris to Phnom Penh”, Diamond Island. Next, view the splendor of the Golden Temple, a shimmering masterpiece. Snap photos of its golden architecture and intricate detail as you soak in the tranquility of this sacred sanctuary. Take a ferry across the Mighty Mekong River to Silk Island, a serene oasis. Learn about the full cycle of silk cloth making at the silk farm. Ticket entry $2. The now museum was formally a girls school that eventually but became the site of imprisonment, torture, and holding enclosure before being transported to the Killing Fields. Entry is $10 which includes an audio guide. 2. 45 minutes away is the Killing Fields, the second most historical site of the Khmer Rouge Genocide in Phnom Penh. Entry is $6 and includes an audio guide. Following this we will return to the city and have lunch (cost not included). 3. The afternoon commences with seeing and learning a bit about the impressive Independence Monument, which represents Cambodia's independence from French colonisation which lasted for 90 years, from 1863 - 1953. Park Strip entry is free. 4. The King Norodom Sihanouk Statue also stands on the popular Park Strip of Phnom Penh. Built in honour of the King in 2013 after his death. 5. Next we go to the Cambodian Vietnam Friendship Monument, which commemorates the former alliance between the two countries. 6. Located nearby is the Royal Palace where you can visit inside and admire the beautiful architecture, and take advantage of photographic opportunities. Entry fee: $10 plus another $10 for a guide. There is no audio guide available. 7. Admire one of the most beautiful examples of Cambodian architecture at the National Museum. This building also offers beautiful photo opportunities. Outside visit only: free. 8. The next highlight is Wat Ounalom, originally built in 1442, is one of the most important temples in Phnom Penh. Entry: free. 9. Wat Phnom is next, Entry: $1, along with the associated Lady Penh Statue. 10. Lady Penh Statue is the final stop. Before visiting, spending time and taking photos of the Royal Palace, known as the home of his majesty the king and the queen residence. You will be able to go these following places: First stop of the tour will be the "Grandma Penh" shrine, followed by a visit of the actual "Mountainous Pagoda". Just a 5-minute drive to the next stop, the constitution monument, which symbolize the restoration of the monarchy in Cambodia after the country was ruled by the Communist Party. The Constitution of Cambodia was re-established on September 24, 1993. Then, from the Royal Palace Compound, you will have the opportunity to take beautiful photos of vivid Khmer architecture and gardens. The Royal Throne (symbol of the whole nation) and Silver pagoda are the most must see from its complex. This relaxing event spot is located on the bank of the four intersections of the Mekong River. After the Royal Palace Compound, we will visit two parks that show significant historical monuments. 1) The Cambodia-Vietnam monument that stands in Wat Botum Park commemorates the alliance of Cambodia's liberation. 2) The large bronze statue of the former Khmer king Norodom Sihanouk was placed in the middle of his garden. In the roundabout of the same park, you will learn about the Independence Monument, a striking monument dedicated to Khmer people who gained independence from French colonization. We will continue our tour to the Chaktomuk Square, a man-made island. This satellite city was being developed in 2000. On the way, you will see the constructed roundabout with the famous former Khmer Buddhist patriach statue, followed by the Buddhist institute, national assembly, and China town buildings. After a lunch stop at a local restaurant, we will continue on to our final two main stops, Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (also called S21) and Choeung Ek Genocidal Centre (Killing Fields). We will finish our tour at the Russian Market, famous for plenty of Khmer products and great souvenirs, before you will be dropped off back at your hotel.

At 8:00 AM, start your tour of the charming capital with a visit to the city’s namesake, Wat Phnom. The pagoda was built to house Buddhist relics washed ashore by the river. Stroll through its beautiful gardens while admiring the various pagoda style structures. The silver pagoda is named after its floor, which comprises of 5,000 silver tiles. Inside, it houses a gold Buddha encrusted with 9,584 diamonds. Finally, you will visit the National Museum – a museum dedicated to preserving the Khmer art. Among the hundreds of pieces are examples of pre and post Angkorian art.

1. An early morning at 8:00AM, we will meet to each other at your meeting point. You'll first visit the magnificent Cambodian royal palace, one of the most popular tourist attractions. Get to the Silver Pagoda which is located right next door to the palace. The Silver Pagoda Aka Temple of the Emerald Buddha has beautiful lush gardens & a unique grand Buddha statue crafted from baccarat crystals. We'll stay here for around 1 hours before moving on to the next attraction. 2. Next, you’ll visit the National Museum, the museum is housed in a terracotta-roofed structure of traditional Cambodian design, which was built in between 1917 and 1920. It offers a charming setting for the world’s finest collection of sculpture from the Angkor period.The intricate sculptures date from both the Angkorian and pre-Angkorian eras, complimented by recent examples of Cambodian art and a wooden Buddha collection. We recommend the incredible sandstone sculpture from Angkor, as well as the intricate bronzes. 3. Over 8,000 skulls, arranged by sex and age, are visible behind the clear glass panels of the Memorial Stupa, which was erected in 1988.

We then pass the Napoleon III Pavilion made from iron, a gift from the French emperor in the 19thcentury.We continue to the Silver Pagoda, named after the 5000 silver tiles covering the floor, each weighing 1kg. Inside are some of the country's most cherished treasures, including a life-size gold Buddha studded with 9584 diamonds, the largest weighing 25 carats. Next, we visit The Wat Phnom Temple founded by Daun Penh (Grandma Penh), a wealthy widow who in 1372, retrieved from a river a log with five Buddha statues in it and ordered to elevate a piece of her property on which to build a temple to house the statues. Later on, Grandma Penh and the villagers converted to build a temple on the top of the mountain and brought the four Buddha statues to the temple. While a standing statue of the goddess was placed in a shrine located on the eastern of the hill. Eventually, this became a sacred site and sanctuary where people would make blessings and pray. After that, we visit Independence Monument, built in 1958, and inaugurated in 1962 during the regime of Sangkum Reastr, this monument also serves as a proud testament to commemorate people who sacrificed their lives for the welfare of the country. The monument is captivating for its cool, serene atmosphere, which in turn makes it a much sought-after destination. Afternoon, we visit Tuol Sleng Genocidal Museum. Tuol Sleng was a former high school that the Khmer Rouge turned into a centre for interrogation, torture and death. Today it is a museum of torture and serves to remind visitors of the terrible atrocities that came to pass in Cambodia. 17,000 people passed through the gates of this prison and only seven lived to tell the tale. Then, we continue to visit Killing Field. Prisoners from TuolSleng followed this same route to their fate. An old Chinese cemetery, ChoengEk was turned into an extermination camp for political prisoners. The remains of 8985 people were exhumed from mass graves and are kept in a memorial stupa here. Despite the horrors of the past, it is a peaceful place to go and a tranquil spot to reflect on the tragic events that engulfed Cambodia and its people.
