Depart from your Tirana hotel in the morning with an air-conditioned vehicle, and head towards northeast Albania. Travel from Tirana, Albania along the newly built highway that connects Albania with Kosovo. What once took almost a whole day to drive through, now in just three hours offers vivid mountainous scenery worth capturing on video. Stop for a quick coffee by the artificial Kukës Lake to take in its tranquility and the legend of its formation during Albania's dark communist period. Cross the border and head to Kosovo's best attraction - the unique town of Prizren with its curvy cobblestone paths - only 20-minutes drive from the Albanian-Kosovo border. Witness a well-preserved reminder of the Ottoman times, the multi-ethnic and multilingual Prizren is situated at the foot of its fortress, adorned with artisan shops along the Lumbardhi river that runs through the heart of this iconic city. Walk by the riverbed and sight-see the Old Town, tasting the local 'byrek' offered again by your guide and drink fresh water from the çesma water fountain, a necessary ritual if you want to return again in Prizren.  Rich in places of worship, Prizren is an example of religious diversity and has a mosque built by the famous Ottoman architect Sinani. Visit the Sinan Pasha Mosque, and the Serbian "Sveti Spas" Orthodox Church. Depending on your desire and physical ability, there's the option to go up the fortress that oversees the city, prior to heading to the capital city of Prishtina - a kaleidoscope of sights, sounds, smells and home to many cultural landmarks. Walk Prishtina's main boulevard and experience the perpetual motion that Prishtina is, along with its modern cafes and restaurants. It was a very nice tour, we saw a lot and were able to help shape the day. Our guide Toni was very knowledgeable and was able to explain the historical background to us really well and understandably. It was a good mix of culture, history and free time and we also had some time to rest on the way back. We liked it a lot. We would like to emphasise that Toni is very interested in history and can also explain complex topics in an interesting and good way. Even in a church, which is not really our area of expertise, he inspired us with his stories so that we were able to learn a lot. Overall it was a very nice day, it was a private tour, which of course is not cheap and has many advantages, but compared to the prices on site it was still relatively expensive.

Super interesting and informative tour, highly recommended. Our guide Endri took us safely to all the places and told us a lot about the country, its people and its history. I would book it again at any time and recommend the tour to anyone who wants to get an insight into Kosovo on a day trip.

I enjoyed the tour of both countries because it gave me a glimpse into the culture in both. The knowledge of the guides was most valuable to benefit fro this trip. Lena was most accommodating and tailored her guidance to my particular interests. Excellent guide she is!

The trip was awesome! It’s a lot of driving, but the guide was professional and very courteous in making stops for coffee, etc. This is an opportunity to see a country you might normally skip. We learned so much and fell in love with Kosovo.

Excellent tour, helpful and kind guide, who allowed us to enjoy and learn the history of Kosovo with passion
