I’m not an artsy person and galleries seems far-fetch for me. But I love history and old architecture, since the museum used to be their old city hall and supreme court, I decided to book a ticket. There are a bunch of free guided tours inside the Museum. I took the building highlights daily tour, our tour guides are 2 senior ladies who are volunteering at the museum. They are amazing! Very informative and fun to listen to. They’ll guide you through the history of the buildings, the renovation processes, and can even answer all your questions about anything Singapore. The rooftop of this Museum is a bar and restaurant, but the best part is the “billion dollar view”. The art gallery was great too, well displayed and monitored. All staffs and security guards are friendly and informative.

This was worth a visit one very wet afternoon in Singapore, but I found the National Museum of Singapore more interesting and informative. Interesting to see examples of Singaporean art from a historical and artistic viewpoint - provided some insights. I did not need to buy a ticket, as the exhibitions were free at the time I visited.
