Excellent! The pigs were just as adorable as you’d think. All the staff were lovely. And a quick stop at pearl island before the boat back was beautiful too. The boat journey took a little longer to get there than expected as it made a few stops on the way. Be aware that you’ll need longer than the activity time stated, from leaving our cruise ship to returning we were out about 5 hours.

Meet your guide at the meeting point then hop aboard the boat. Enjoy a pleasant ride to Athol island, also known as Pigs Beach Island, just 8 nautical miles away from the bustling Nassau Cruise Port.

Upon arrival, prepare to spend an amazing 40 minutes with the famous swimming pigs of the Bahamas. Share snacks and ride the waves with the pigs on Pig Beach, and delight in a piggy party you never knew you needed.

After a day of piggy giggles and sandy serenity, head to Pearl Island for a relaxing hour and a half beach day. Enjoy the water activities there till it's time to get back on the boat and return to the tour's starting point in Nassau.

Meeting point

The marina is 5 minutes away from the Nassau Cruise Port. Walk down Bay street in the direction of the traffic till you reach Hoffer sports and a Chinese restaurant called Phoenix Chinese. Right opposite that is the Elizabeth on Bay Marina. Walk all the way down to the water. You'll know you're at the right spot when you see a restaurant called Salsa on your right hand side. Look for staff in either blue or orange shirts that say "Suncay" on them.

We booked this excursion outside of our cruise line. Directions to get there were very clear and only took about 10-15 minutes to walk there from the cruise dock. Our family really enjoyed this one of a kind experience. The pigs were so funny and all had different personalities. I feel that the 45 minutes we had on the island was just enough time to enjoy and we didn’t feel our time was wasted at all. Guides were very knowledgeable and timely. Would do this again.
