Cruise Ship Travellers Bahamas via Boat Semi-sub Glassbottom

7. Cruise Ship Travellers Bahamas via Boat Semi-sub Glassbottom

All aboard Cay Island Tours! Something nautical and newfangled now navigates Nassau’s harbor, above the coral reef and when the seas allow, over an old shipwreck! We are talking about a seacraft that looks like a UFO (unidentifiable floating object) with its sleek, semi-submersive design and 72 inch-monocular. What special features does this spectacular vessel boast? The Oculus I & II, which are 37’ Lookers, are not just glass-bottom boats; guests get an underwater view with a fish-eyed monocular. The boats’ build includes the innovative underwater fin; a curved winglike surface that is designed to lift a boat in motion, by means of reaction upon its surface from the water through which it moves – this is called a hydrofoil. In plain English, hydrofoils work to help a boat reduce drag and increase speed, thus it reduces fuel consumption. These vessels are stunning and agile. We are proud to announce that this product is eco-conscious. Our guests view the delicate marine life without caging, catching, or contact, which allows the biodiversity of the reef to thrive as it was naturally intended to. The hydrofoil design minimizes harmful emissions as fuel consumption is reduced against mileage. Cay Island Tour welcomes the opportunity to showcase, educate and advocate for coral reef conservation. The tour is 2 hours and departs from the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal daily. Private group charters are also available. There is a strong focus to educate our visitors and Bahamians on the importance of our coral reef system.

What people are saying about Nassau Bahamas Cruise Terminal

This was far and away the greatest use of my money on vacation. Our tour guide Nikki was knowledgeable and funny and made our tour great. She knew everyone at every stop and got us to the front of the line. I said I wanted to grab a cigars, she knew a spot next to a stop we had planned. She had thoughts on the rum, and engaged with my kids naturally and made it fun. CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH!!!

We were really very happy with this incredible day excursion as we wanted! The stops on the islands were really great, we had time to see the pigs taking photos, it was perfect. And on the island, as for eating, the meal was very good, great entertainment on the beach, music... we were really very happy, I recommend it to everyone.

I loved the whole event! The pre-show was amazing. My 11 year old enjoyed it as much as my 15 year old. it was delightful 😊.

Great ! The food was excellent! It just happened too quickly 😅

It was a very nice day. Sun, sea, beach and swimming pigs.
