Nashville: Holiday Lights Trolley Tour at Cheekwood Mansion

We really enjoyed the tour, & the Cheekwood mansion was beautiful with all the lights! It was a great tour through the grounds. My only problem was the pick up/drop off area. The trolley pick up was right in downtown Nashville with no clear signage or instructions as to where we needed to park. We were running late getting there, so someone called to make sure we were coming & luckily, she told us over the phone where to park, but we didn’t see it until we had already passed it. By then we had to try & turn around which pushed us even more behind. It was also unclear about paying for parking. One sign had a QR code to scan & pay (which two of us did), and we paid $50 per car for 3.5 hours. The other two cars in our group didn’t pay, so who knows if we will be billed later for that. There was also a sign in the parking lot saying that parking was $10 an hour. The tour group needs to put that info out before people purchase tickets because that’s a large unexpected expense.

The ride to Cheekwood Mansion is about 30 minutes from pickup site. The driver does not lead a tour. He simply drives to the drop off and pickup area at Cheekwood. The mansion is absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed a self-guided tour with an exceptional Christmas light setup. I especially loved the poinsettia tree and the train village! We also stop to have hot chocolate and some bakery good! Be prepared for a lot of walking with some hilly areas. It was well worth the cost of the tour. We did lose 15 minutes waiting on late arrivals. Please don’t hold up other people-arrive early!

Anyone who loves Christmas will love the magnificent light display at Creekwood mansion. The trio of professional carolers was an added treat. Snacks, drinks and a nice gift shop are also available.
