Civil War History Tour – The Battle of Franklin, Tennessee

Julie our driver made the experience very informative & fun.

Roger our bus driver/tour guide was extremely knowledgeable not only about the battle of Franklin, but the three homes that we visited and the town of Franklin itself. The docents at each of the homes were also extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer all of our questions. I left with a great deal of knowledge about the battle of Franklin and the ending of the Civil War.

Our tour was fantastic! Julie our guide was phenomenal! Full of interesting facts that kept the short ride to Franklin interesting! We booked our tour for New Year’s Eve day, and the Lotz House ended up being closed (the tour company had verified it would be open so this was a surprise!) Fortunately Julie is also a guide for the tour of the stars homes, so she obtained permission to take us on a partial tour of homes after our group expressed interest in doing this!!! What a fantastic day!! I want to thank Julie for pivoting and doing a double tour that included history and showing us some beautiful homes where famous people live!!! For anyone not sure about the Civil War tour I encourage you to do it!! The guides at both homes were amazing!!! So much fantastic information about a battle that you really don’t hear about!! Tour bus was very comfortable and Franklin is an adorable town! Suggestion: create a tour of 2 civil war homes, homes of stars & extra time in Franklin!!!
