The Ofot train line stretches from Narvik in Norway to Sweden, making it Norway's northernmost railway line. The Arctic Train transports you 43 kilometers through a beautiful and wild scenery, from the fjord in Narvik, passing the gorgeous mountain landscape up to the Swedish border town Bjørnfjell. Historic events dating back to WW2 serves as a dramatic backdrop for this experience. Majestic mountains, beautiful waterfalls and stunning views are just some of the things you get to experience on this journey. We were looking forward to our Arctic Train ride, and it didn't disappoint. Convenient and cosy cafe at the station and helpful staff on hand. Good viewing seats on the train and a request to swap around on the return in order to allow all passengers to share the best seats. Good views all the way. A number of opportunities to disembark and see the scenery and walk around in it. Knee deep snow at times! Free self serve hot drinks on board was a nice touch. Altogether a worthwhile excursion with memorable views.
