Best tour and guide ever!!! My kids and I enjoyed every minute of it. The guide, an archaeologist, was so knowledgeable and kept the tour fun and engaging. My kids tell me that it was their best tour in Italy. The story of Pompeii is fascinating and you truly feel like going back in time.

We arrived from Sorrento with an hour to spare, due to train times and had a coffee at the restaurant opposite the meeting point. After leaving our small luggage (2 rucksacks) in the FREE storage area, we easily found our guide at the allotted meeting time. Michele spoke very good English, has an approachable and friendly manner, as well as wide breadth of archaeological knowledge about Pompeii. Some facts we were told were unique to the tour and wouldn't usually be heard through the audio guide (we encountered this on meeting up with friends who chose to do the latter rather than a tour). In the short time available (i.e. a day visit) the approx. two hour tour was fantastic! Michele took us to the main areas intertwining archaeological facts and findings when stopping to look. He also advised where to go after for the rest of the day. With entry included to the site, this tour was great value for money.

The tour was well organised and the instructions were clear. Our guide, Daniela, was informative and very pleasant and kept the group moving at a pace that allowed us to see some of the most interesting features while not feeling rushed or overwhelmed in such a complex place. I thoroughly recommend this tour if you have only a half day.
