Hike to the crater of Mt. Vesuvius, peering into the mouth of the most famous volcano in the world.
You will be picked up in a shared transportation from Pompeii and driven to the base of Mt. Vesuvius. Your skip-the-line tickets will grant you speedy access to the route up the volcano whose immense force destroyed the ancient cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
Climb this legendary mountain and have a look into the still quiescent deep crater. A 20-minute walk is required to reach the highest part of the crater.
Once you reach the top, stand at the crater rim and bask in the stunning panoramic view of the Bay of Naples, Capri, Ischia, the edge of the Sorrento coast, and more.

Meet at the main gate of Pompeii, Porta Marina Superiore, Via Villa dei Misteri 3. We will wait by the gate, just in front of the bar-restaurant Hortus with a lot of lemons and oranges hanging outside. We will have a sign with "Askos Tours" written on it. The meeting point is just few steps away the Circumvesuviana train station Pompei-Villa dei Misteri.
