Really good and better as done in own time rather than a tour. We saw all we wanted and would advise anyone to bring water and lunch as hot long days. I also recommend if booking this ticket or doing Pompeii by yourself then get the train there it’s cheap and easy. Although this says it’s fast track the online booking queue you have to join is small but but everyone has either booked online or outside station so not sure it saved anytime I was just glad to have it booked.

Not sure where the fast comes into this. Nor where thr tickeet is, as you have a barcode voucher to get a ticket. If you have a ticket, you can walk straight in. Whenever you go to somewhere like Pompeii there will be a queue. There was no avoiding the queue at the entrance so no fast track there. The bar code scanning was quick when we got to the front and getting the audio guide was straightforward, quick and easy - no queue! Whether we saved time or money, we don't know as we didn't go to either of the other gates.

Arrived by train and entrance is literally a 1 minute walk away. You had to queue for audio as well as exchange your voucher for tickets. Overall a 10 minute wait for both which wasnt bad and was only 10.30am. Opposite the entrance was Hortus pompeii restaurant & snack bar. We got drinks, water 1 euro/pepsi 3 euros and sandwiches 7 euros to takeaway. It was very nice and glad we did as only one main restaurant inside pompeii and it was busy at lunch time. Definitely worth every penny getting the audio guide which comes with a map telling you exactly where you are but most importantly giving you information about the areas of interest which there are too many. We ended up taking 5 hours at a comfortable pace to see everything.
