Excellent and charming guide

Our guide, Daniela, was helpful, charming and extremely informative. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the insights she offered into Herculaneum. The only problem was with the emailed meeting instructions sent with a map and a pin from GetYourGuide - the pin was several hundred metres away from the actual location. The conflict between the pin and the described location caused us to be late and a little irritated at the time. If you’re going to use a dropped pin on a map (which, in principle, is an excellent idea then you need to make sure it’s in the right place!

Excellent and informative

Luisa was an utterly fantastic guide. She was really well informed and guided us around the most interesting parts of Herculaneum and really managed to bring the city alive for us. We would highly recommend both this tour and visiting Herculaneum itself, very impressively preserved compared to Pompeii and our guide was so fantastic. It was the little details that really made the tour great!

Excellent tour with a 23-yr veteran guide

We very much enjoyed our 2hr tour of Herculaneum. Our tour guide Daniela has been giving tours ranging from 2hrs to full days of both Herculaneum and Pompeii for 23 years and had endless knowledge about the past, present, and future of Herculaneum. She brought an iPad with her that was especially helpful for some visualizations of what buildings we stopped in would have looked like back in the 1st century AD. All-in-all, my girlfriend and I have a high bar for cultural tours like this, but the two hours went by too quickly and we very much enjoyed it all. We would highly recommend Daniela and Herculaneum, and the service that set us up.
