I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Luciano made it humorous and interesting using his orange folder and a “layered” book to visually explain how life used to be, making it easy to understand. His passion and “hands on” experience with the dig has made me want to return in a few years to see how the site has progressed. I bought the book afterwards so that I can easily explain it to my friends and encourage them to go. If Luciano had been my teacher at school, I would have paid far more attention!
i can without a doubt say this was the best experiance of the trip so far, when more of Herculanuim gets excavated i will return just to have another tour from Dr Luciano Leone! he made sure that every persone in our small groupe felt included, weaving the historical narrative with clever commentary. The sight was beautiful and he made the two and a half hours fly. I cant recommend this one enough perfect for every age. 11/10 will go again.
