The pass is perfect, you can use all means of transport, it doesn't cost extra. If you take the wrong train, no problem, just take the next one. With the buses, sometimes they don't come even if you wait an hour - the underground is better. The first two entries are free, the following ones have a 50% discount.

The truth is that it is useful. It allows you to save a queue entrance to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Although in February there is not much line but you already take it ... and then if you visit the archaeological museum and some more visits they will give you a discount that compensates ... And also the free transport ... both the metro and the train to Pompeii and Herculaneum.
