What People Are Saying About Naples
The museum has large collection of items from Pompeii and Herculaneum and is worth visiting. These items cannot be found onsite at Pompeii or Herculaneum and the museum does complete your visit of the area. The museum itself could you use some modernisation, but the exhibits are great value for money.
A massive site that was awesome in places but the audio guide could have been more informative.
Excellent day trip from Rome to Pompeii/Vesuvius. Both tour guide and site guide at Pompeii were knowledgeable. This was our first trip to both locations and we are glad we went. It was a great break from the church/museum/city tours elsewhere. Due to tight schedule, would have preferred longer time at both sites in order to get time for souvenirs. Provided lunch was only ok but considering the large crowd being fed, acceptable. As with any larger tour group, timing, food, and breaks are difficult to make perfect for everyone. I do recommend the tour to others.
I loved this museum and I am very happy I had a private guide. She was an archaeologist, and was able to speak knowledgeably about all the artwork . I was very impressed.
Everything was on schedule. Our two guides, one Italian/British and one Australian spoke perfect English and were very well prepared. The least favorable experience was the lunch, a quite ordinary plain pizza Margeritha, but what could you expect so close to a grand site like Pompeii with a lot of tourists.
