We went on the wine tasting and Vesuvius tour which was well organised.Our host Sandra and driver Jenaro were very helpful. The down side was wine tasting as no information was given on the wines and a very basic experience though the food was ok. Also no water was provided on the bus as described.

Teresa was very welcoming, informative and overall the tour schedule was well put. I would however say that we wasn’t offered drink refreshment on the transport to and from and had to pay for it at Vesuvius although it was specified on the booking. Overall we had a great time though!

The experience was great and I enjoyed it! The view is fantastic and the crater is mammoth, even I who am from the area had never been to the summit of Vesuvius! the walk along the summit is quite challenging but feasible, the heat plays a key role because the higher you climb, the stronger the sun. In my opinion we should start this tour much earlier, probably early in the morning and we should reverse the lunch I would have at the end, because going up on a full stomach in the heat of the early afternoon may not be the best.
