it was a fab day but was asked to arrive 20 mins before pick up and bus arrived 2 mins before it was due to leave. Very steep walk to top of volcano not for unfit or mobility problems and the toilets at volcano were beyond gross take own tissues and hand sanitizer. Herculaneum only has vending machines for food and drinks but there are food options outside in the carpark. All in all a great day well worth the money

This experience is basically just the transportation between sites. The guide doesn’t go with you but you can rent an audio guide in some sites like Herculaneum. You’ll need to self guide through all the sites. The tour doesn’t include lunch or a stop in schedule for lunch so pack your own! Herculaneum has no food options in or nearby. Pompeii does but you’ll take time out from your tour. I recommend packing your lunch and eating on the way.
