Pick up was prompt and easy. It was a shame there was cloud over the crater/cone but that's life!! 'Guide' told us when to be back for pick up, then we went to Herculaneum which was fab, a real feel for what life was like and it wasn't very busy. Again we were told when to be back. The driver left a few minutes early without some people despite being told they weren't there!! Pompeii was great too. It was a full on day that myself and my 17 year old enjoyed greatly! Whilst it clearly states food not included there was a small cafe on Vesuvius but we'd left before midday and only a vending machine at the Herculaneum with very little in it. We ate before we went into Pompeii and I realise this is the end of the season but it could have advised bringing something! We did this as a day trip from Rome using the Bullet train so had left very early! It wasn't a guided tour but a taxi service really that included all entry fees.

Didn't really have any kind of guide. The tour was essentially a bus which took you to the 3 points if interest. The driver was very nice but spoke no English at all. Vesuvius. dropped off and it was a 30 min walk to the crater. Low cloud spoiled it a bit for us but we still loved it. Herculaneum was amazing and we got plenty of time to wander around. Pompeii was also great. You got a fair bit of time, but as its so big, more time would of been nice. on the whole the day out was great and absoloutely worth it. The only sad thing was. Out of a bus full of people, we were the only ones to tip the driver. thats tight. Great day out

Very good, everything would have been perfect. Unfortunately, some passengers were unrecognizable or unreliable. This further agitated the already very angry, loudly complaining driver, who was constantly on the phone while driving. So there were some very unpleasant moments for us on this holiday day. The support from the guides and the other driver was great, very concerned about the well-being of the passengers!!
