Full description

Sail to the island of Capri from Naples on a hydrofoil. Explore the colorful streets of Capri and see the Piazzetta and the Gardens of Augustus. Hear the history from your guide and enjoy some free time to explore the towns and have free time there. Be picked up from a selected meeting point in Naples and transferred to the port (if option selected). At the port, meet the professional guide who will accompany you on your visit to the enchanting island of Capri. The hydrofoil ride to Capri will take around 50 minutes. The first stop on your guided visit to the island is Marina Grande. Head up to Anacapri by minibus, a short and fun trip that affords marvelous views. Take a stroll in the famous Piazzetta, known as the lounge of the world, and the place to be seen for movie stars and VIPs since the times of la dolce vita in the 1950s and 60s. Your guide will tell you all about the island and its history and lead you to the Gardens of Augustus, and along the charming Via Camerelle, Via Tregare, and to the village center. After taking in the celebrated views of the Faraglioni, a sight cherished even by Roman emperors, you will have free time to explore and enjoy lunch at your leisure. At the end of the visit, the guide will accompany you back to Naples, where a driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel or meeting point.

The trip started off a bit chaoticly with the meeting point and time not being clear. Once we got that sorted we were met by our guide Sandra (Bullock😂). Who was very pleasant and gave us our ferry tickets. After the ferry we went on an (optional) boat trip seeing more of Capri. We then went on a bus trip to different towns with free time in both. The first stop was by the (optional) chairlift to the summit of Capri, we opted for Villa San Michelle (optional) which was interesting both in the house and lovely gardens. We then went to Capri town and visited the botanical gardens which weren’t as good as those in the Villa but that may be the time of year. Sandra then rounded us up for the ferry ride back. Whilst on the trip Sandra pointed out interesting things, and the drivers negotiated some challenging but interesting routes, it was interesting to note the thin cars, busses and other vehicles. We enjoyed the trip and saw some lovely views. Sandra was great fun.
