Visit the Isle of Capri and the town of Anacapri on a full-day excursion from Naples. You’ll travel by hydrofoil to this romantic island and be taken on a tour of its major attractions, including Villa San Michele, the Piazzetta, and the Augustus Gardens.
What to Expect
Capri has been a widely visited tourist destination since the 1950s, and in fact has been a popular resort since the days of the Roman Republic. It is situated just 5 kilometers from the Italian mainland in the Bay of Naples.
In the early morning you’ll be picked up at your hotel in Naples and taken the port where you’ll board a hydrofoil for the trip to the Isle of Capri. Your tour assistant will accompany you on this ride that takes around 50 minutes.
When you arrive you’ll visit the towns of Capri and Anacapri. You’ll have the chance to explore the lovely Villa San Michele, a 19th-century mansion restored by Axel Munthe, a Swedish psychiatrist and philanthropist. The mansion houses his collection of antiquities. Please note that there is a EUR 5 entrance fee to the Villa, to be paid on site.
After touring Villa San Michele, you’ll have lunch at a typical restaurant in Capri and then visit the center of the town to see the famous Piazzetta and the Augustus Gardens. From the gardens you’ll enjoy remarkable views of the Faraglioni rocks below. Finally, you’ll take a stroll with your guide among the picturesque streets of the isle, where you’ll come across many open-air coffee shops and exclusive boutiques.
Later in the afternoon you’ll return to Naples by hydrofoil and your driver will drop you off at your hotel.
