What People Are Saying About Naples
We were staying in Rome and took a train to the Naples Central Station to take this tour. The tour bus was waiting right across the street. This tour stopped at a couple of fun surprise locations that we were not expecting, but made the tour more enjoyable: the Limoncello factory and Almalfi. I'm glad Miguel led us through Pompeii so we could learn the history of the different locations. I would highly recommend this tour!
Make sure you read the small print about the meeting place(s). Our computer downloaded what it saw online, which had a map showing the meeting place as the docks where cruise ships arrive in Naples. So, we went there--having come from Rome to Naples by train, and ONLY after we paid 55 Euros in taxi rides did we see we only needed to read the fine print which advised that coming by rail, the meeting place was across from the Naples train station--where we started our harrowing, costly and ultimately unneeded two taxi rides. But the tour was otherwise great, the luncheon outstanding, and I would recommend the entire thing eagerly...just read the fine print on meeting places. :)
We had a fantastic day. From the time we were picked up promptly at the cruise pier to the end, it was a whirlwind and we enjoyed every moment. The guide and bus driver were extremely accommodating and professional, and the bus was comfortable. It was nice to be sitting high up in the bus to enjoy the amazing views on the Amalfi Coast. We stopped at a Limoncella factory, a glorious cliff side restaurant for a delicious included light lunch (salad and pasta), the lovely town of Amalfi and some pull-overs for photos. In Pompeii, we had a fascinating tour with a professional guide, and at the end of the day we were tired but fulfilled. Bravo!
My wife and I had a week in Naples and wanted to see Pompeiia and the Amalfi cost, up to this trip we did day trips we planned on our own. I was a little worried how good this payed day trip would be. We are so happy we did it. Rosa the host was great and we felt like our money was well spent. If your considering it, just do it. Just sit back and enjoy.
Totally worth it! Learned a lot about Pompeii and had a pleasant day trip to Amalfi.
