Walk along the curved main street, following the route of the river beneath it. Marvel at Cork Opera House and across the river, see the shape of Shandon church, with its distinctive red and white brick bell tower and clockfaces. Next, stroll down Carey's Lane to visit the Hugenot cemetery, before heading to the Coal Quay and Cornmarket Street. Along the widest street in Cork, Grand Parade, see Bishop Lucy Park, the Berwick fountain and the National memorial. Hear about Nano Nagle and her extensive humanitarian work in bringing education to the poorest classes while standing on a footbridge named in her honour. Then, explore St Finbar's Cathedral, the South Gate Bridge and Elizabeth Fort. See the boathouse entrances in the leading business quarter of the city known as South Mall. Finish the tour in Princes Street, at the main entrance to Cork's fascinating English Market.

Cork: Murder Mystery Self-Guided City Exploration Game

3. Cork: Murder Mystery Self-Guided City Exploration Game

ClueBreak is a big outdoor event that takes place centrally in your city and cities around the world. On your way around the inner city of Cork and you will visit many famous places like Nano Nagle Bridge, St Patrick's Street, Rory Gallagher Memorial Sculpture and also see many famous places in city center along your way. First you download the app CLUEBREAK and with the code you receive by e-mail you will login and start your adventure. You will search for witnesses, find clues, test your knowledge and solve the murder mystery. One ticket is valid for 1-6 people. You will receive an exclusive code and further information that you need to log in to our app and start the game. In the app, you will find a map with marked places and witnesses. Visit the witnesses and answer the questions and riddles to get their testimonials. The testimonials are in the form of films and contain information that will allow you to eliminate suspects and weapons. In the end, you will hopefully have the right solution to the murder mystery! The game is in English. THE CASE The game takes place in a fictional small town called Glenndale. A man named Carl Brown has been found murdered in his own home. Why did someone want to kill Carl? Who had the motive and opportunity? Your task is to find out who the guilty one is and which murder weapon was used. This is our first case and more will come. We estimate that it takes at least 2h to complete the assignment. It usually takes a longer time as you may want to watch the testimonials an extra time, stop for a cup of coffee, or go into a place so that the whole team keeps up. It is not the fastest team that wins, but the team with the most points! Is this suitable for children? Absolutely, the activity is fun to do together as a family but is not designed for children to manage on their own. We recommend an age from 12 years old and up if there is no accompanying adult. But remember that it’s all about a murder and all about it. You will have a fun day together!

This was my first time spending quality time in cork, and my first time to do a walking tour in cork. I must say it was the best experience I have had and how lucky to meet Noel Welch. What a treasure you have with Noel, a man who was born and reared in Cork. He loves this city, and knows so much about it. The way he imparts the words in wisdom and experience in cork was memorable. We’ll be back Margarita and Peadar

We enjoyed our walking tour of Cork. We had a seasoned guide who did a great job. He went over the stated time but we were ok with it since it was a nice day.

Great walk around Cork. Saw places we would not have found in our own and learned a lot of information about the city.

Official local guide departing from the tourism center. Excellent explanations
