Osaka: Main Sights and Hidden Spots Guided Walking Tour

Osaka: Main Sights and Hidden Spots Guided Walking Tour

Osaka is known for great food, quirky characters and an urban history much longer than Tokyo's. Get under the skin of this unique city on this guided walking tour with a professional English-speaking guide.  Start off with a visit to Osaka Castle Park. You won't go inside the castle, but will get to admire the grand and imposing exterior, and will stroll around the surrounding park.  Here you'll learn about the history of Osaka and how it was almost robbed from the Japanese 400 years ago.  A quick train ride takes you to Tsuruhashi, to explore the maze of Korea Town. Explore the narrow streets and alleys of this pre-war commercial district.  Another quick journey by public transport will take you to modern Harukas building. Enjoy the view from one of the high floors, then head underground to explore the food hall of the department store underneath. See high quality products for sale like killer puffer fish and Kobe beef, amongst others.  Not far from Harukas is the traditional district of Shin-sekai. See the slightly crumbling local highlights, perfectly frozen in time.  Next, head to Namba, considered to be the center of Osaka's present-day shopping, dining, and entertainment culture. Visit Dotonbori, Osaka’s version of Times Square in New York, and explore the quirky back streets with their own individuality and surprises in store. You’ll visit Kuromon Ichiba, a fresh fish market that's played a pivotal role for more than 150 years.  Finally, explore Doguyasuji, a kitchen and cooking district. Look around at the wax food models, Japanese "noren" (curtains that hang at kitchen entrances) and giant pottery pieces.

My tour is delightful because of Kevin who demonstrates high level of professionalism. His extensive knowledge of historical sites, cultural landmarks, and hidden gems that most tourists never get to see sets him apart. Kevin ensures that every site is covered within the four-hour tour by meticulously coordinating with the transport schedule. He is attentive to our needs, guiding us to elevators whenever possible to spare us the burden of long staircases. His ability to provide accurate and insightful information keeps everyone engaged and interested throughout the tour. Kevin is also a great communicator, with a wide range of topics that cater to our diverse backgrounds. He fosters a high level of interaction, readily answering questions and engaging with each guest personally, making us feel welcome and valued. His easy-going nature and fun personality make the tours both informative and enjoyable, creating memorable experiences for all. Highly recommending the tour with Kevin.

We had a great pub bar crawl and it was all thanks to our very awesome guide Yuya Ito. He took us to some really great places but my personal favorite was Nihonshu Unagidani in Chuo Ward. The vibe was so great and the sake was some of the best I have ever had. I am a big fan of plum sake and this place had what I would put in my top 2 of all time. Yuya was great about just giving us information about each pub as well as the local customs and how to enjoy ourselves. I think one of the best complements I could give about Yuya is that he felt like he was part of our group more than he was our guide which shows how personable he is. I really recommend trying to get Yuya to do your tour if you can.

Mina was an excellent photographer and human, he showed me around Dotombori and took amazing pictures, and i was extremely happy with the results. Thank you brother and hope we meet again

Tour was so much fun! And catered to your vibe, definitely recommend going!
