I have traveled a lot in my life but this was my first time in Kenya. I absolutely had to take part in a Safari game and everyone recommended me to go to Maasai Mari. I am very happy with my choice. The organization of the tour was impeccable, from the first moment with Betty who guided me step by step. However, the highlight of the whole package was James, the guide and driver. Good, precise, kind and thoughtful. Always smiling and with a deep knowledge of the territory. I took an infinite number of photographs of every kind of animal. The lions a few meters away, you could almost touch them. Elephants and giraffes, in short, Noah's ark in full. I was incredibly lucky to have been in the company of a group of new friends. In short, everything SUPER. Do I have to find a flaw? Ok: my accommodation was not exactly comfortable and easy-going. But it was to be expected. Finally, it is not true that the entrance to the park must be paid in cash. I paid the second day with my credit card 😉

Full description

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve At 8 am, be picked up from your hotel within the city center/Westland area and drive to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a breathtaking view of the floor of the Rift Valley. Arrive in the camp in time for lunch. At 4.00 pm depart for a sunset game viewing drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve where chances of seeing the big cats are extremely high. Return to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner and a relaxing evening. Accommodation: Rhino Tourist Camp or similar Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve After breakfast at the camp, leave for a full day of game viewing in Maasai Mara National Reserve. Spend the whole day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the big five, hippos and Nile crocodiles. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park under a Croton tree shade overlooking the vast landscape of the park. It's in the Mara that the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (around June to November). Following on the herds are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures. Returning to the camp in the late afternoon, enjoy dinner as you swap stories with fellow travelers about the great sights you have seen. Accommodation: Rhino Tourist Camp or similar Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi Have breakfast at the camp before departing for the return trip to Nairobi. On the way, have the option to visit a Masaai Village to learn about their culture and lifestyle. On arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped at your hotel within the city center or Westland area.
