A visit to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant begins with a greeting from a member of the staff, a brief description of the property, and a little history of how this mountain valley was transformed into the fantasy garden it is today. Garden of the Sleeping Giant The Garden, which contains a vast collection of 30 to 40 varieties of magnificent Asian orchids and Cattleya hybrids, was once the private collection of the late American actor Raymond Burr. Guides are available at no additional cost, to walk you through the grounds and put names to the floral faces you’ll find around any corner. Gardens are beautiful. We did not have a guide to explain all the beautiful vegetation, which would have been helpful. It was none the less enjoyable. The mudbaths were fun and a unique experience. Well worthwhile.

Appreciated being able to do the tour despite booking only a couple of hours before the start time. I was travelling solo and was also the only person on the tour. The guide/driver dropped me off and waited for me to finish the activity to drive me to the next activity. He was friendly and polite and I had a great day.
