Austin Ghosts

1. Austin Ghosts

Join US Ghost Adventures for a journey through haunted locations like The Omni Hotel, the William Sidney Porter House, and the Museum of the Weird, among countless oddball restaurants and vintage shops.  Austin has a unique way of encouraging eccentric behavior with its infamous element of the weird. The history of the capital of Texas offers shocking stories of forbidden lovers, heartbreaking suicides, brutal murders, and freak accidents.  Some of the ghosts you may encounter on this historic ghost tour are playful and harmless, but others are quite wicked and have committed some horrific crimes in their lifetimes. Stroll through hotspots in the "City of Bats" on this ghost tour and explore the dark side of the city's charming downtown streets. You’ll not only visit the most haunted places in town, but also discover the history that lives on in each building.  Keep your cameras ready because some pretty spooky footage has been captured on some of these expeditions. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the suicide brides roaming around the Driskill, or witness the legendary "Man with the Cigar" who thoughtfully paces around the Paramount Theatre.  Loads of tall tales will skim the surface of Austin’s history, but you will also hear true stories that have been thoroughly fact-checked and researched.

Austin: Detective Mystery Game with Mobile App and Audio

2. Austin: Detective Mystery Game with Mobile App and Audio

Hit your city’s streets while playing a fun murder mystery game on your phone. Download the app, choose your route, then head out as a solo detective, with a partner, or as a group to get started. Follow the prompts as you travel to different locations within the game map and immerse yourself in an audio tale full of intrigue. Release your inner gumshoe and take on the role of a recent graduate of the Detective Academy. A murder has been committed and you're tasked with solving the crime. Your job is to visit each of the 10 locations marked on the map, piece together the evidence, identify the killer, and issue an arrest warrant. Choose the driving route on the outskirts of the city, where you'll park at each location, listen to the audio drama and complete your tasks. Or, go for the walking map to get outside and enjoy the downtown area. Play the game at any time and move at your own pace, taking a break whenever you need to and resuming once you're ready.
