Full description

Discover the Teatro Grande alla Scala, which is one most important focal points of both Italian and European culture. Built in 1778, the theater has hosted some of the greatest operatic artists, and many of the finest singers from around the world. Enjoy views of the famous stage from the third-level boxes. Explore the theater's Museum, which features a large collection of paintings, sketches, statues, original costumes, and other things related to opera. See musical instruments and other curios that tell the story of the theater.  The Museum Library contains more than 150,000 volumes and thirty manuscripts of complete works, as well as single sheets from composers such as Beethoven and Mozart. Learn about the beginnings of the career of Giussepe Verdi and his somewhat tumultuous relationship with the theater.

It was fun walking through the opera. You can download the audio guide for free using a QR code. Don't forget headphones! You can learn a lot about the many pictures and collectibles in the individual salons. It would be a shame just walking through here. The view from the balcony into the theater with the history in the "ears" is very impressive.

We arrived an hour earlier than the reservation but they let us in without any problems. Both the theater and the museum are beautiful. It's just a pity not to be able to take pictures at the theater even if the site specified yes no flash photos ... All very well maintained. A visit is definitely worth it.

The theater is magnificent, we were lucky enough to see a rehearsal. We came across the end of the rehearsal and were able to see the theater with the light on once the rehearsal was over, otherwise we wouldn't have seen much of the architecture and the chandelier and that's not mentioned during the purchase of the ticke that during the performances the theater is not lit! We would have been very disappointed not to see it in light!
