Milan: 1.5-Hour Leonardo da Vinci Gallery Tour

5. Milan: 1.5-Hour Leonardo da Vinci Gallery Tour

During your 1.5-hour tour you'll discover the importance of Leonardo as a scientist, researcher, engineer, naturalist, artist, and philosopher. From the many drawings Leonardo produced, dozens of fantastic scale models have been constructed and are shown at this museum. These models include an armored war carriage, a printing press, a fascinating flying ship, and many others. Reconstructions of city environments in the Renaissance, accompanied by vocal comments and music, will inform you about some events of Leonardo's private life, as well as interesting aspects about the social life of his time. Other sections are dedicated to topics ranging from the dream of flight, studies about the canal system in Milan, and war machines and architecture. Towards the end of your experience, admire a gallery of 16th-century paintings created by Italian artists and influenced by the innovations introduced by the "master". Among these paintings sits a surprising 17th-century copy of the Last Supper.

Milan: Enrico Toti Submarine Guided Tour and Museum Ticket

6. Milan: Enrico Toti Submarine Guided Tour and Museum Ticket

Get on board the Toti Submarine and discover what it is like to live amongst engines, sonar and periscopes. Don’t miss the English visit aboard to relive the sailors’ emotions. Launched in 1967, the Toti was the first submarine built in Italy after World War II. Its job was to patrol the waters of the Mediterranean and detect Soviet submarines. In 1997 it made its last trip and since 2005 it rests here at the Museum. Each guided tour inside the Toti submarine hosts a maximum of 7 people. There are external stairs to access and to leave the submarine. On the inside, the submarine has narrow passages and high steps. There are architectural barriers that prevent access to visitors in wheelchairs and with serious motor disabilities. We do not recommend the tour if you are uncomfortable in tight, dark spaces. For these same reasons we cannot allow on board children aged under 6. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. During the guided tour visitors must wear the safety helmet provided by the tour guide. The entrance ticket also allows a free tour of the entire National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo Da Vinci. To get the entrance ticket, you need to exchange your voucher at the Ticket Office.

Such an interesting museum. But make sure not to spend all of your time in all other sectors and get tired until you reach Leonardo's section. It takes minimum of 2 hours.

Enjoyed the Museum, wished that there had been a better self guided of the exhibits, it would have made it easier to navigate these we really interested in seeing.

I recommend 100%. We booked our tickets a day before the trip and the prices were really good.

It is really worth it. The museum is huge and there is a lot of different themes to be seen.

Great fun and even some interactive activities to do.
