What people are saying about Musée des Impressionnismes
Our guide was very nice, the lunch was wonderful and we met some interesting people on the small tour. It was great to get out of the city and see some of the French countryside. Giverny was more than expected with the amazing gardens and tour of the house that included copies of many paintings by various artists. The gift shop had a large selection with reasonable prices. Auvers-sur-Oise was less than expected with only a tour of 2 rooms in the house that included a short video, a very small gift shop & the cemetery/grave site. I was hoping to see several copies of paintings but that did not happen. We did learn a lot about both artists as well as historical information about the areas we visited. It would have been nice to spend a little more time in Giverny to see the museum and less time in Auvers-sur-Oise. Overall I highly recommend this tour for even the novice art lover!
I so enjoyed this experience. I will forever treasure my time in Monet's studio, his gardens, and the village there. Make sure to book the full day tour and experience it on your own, that way you can make your way around on your own time. The food at the restaurant was delicious, I had the vegetable soup, the fish, and the apple tart with hot tea and water to drink, all included in the all day tour. I also got a treat and more tea later in the day, the muffin was delicious. I came back with visions of new paintings to be created, a full belly, and many wonderful memories! A highlight of my trip to Paris.
Our family enjoyed the whole day. With our wonderfully knowledgable & entertaining guide, Anotol (??) we made our way to Giverny. Our second visit in 20 years, it was still beautiful, but very very busy. Loved the gardens. Made our way to Versailles, met by new guide (name ??), very knowledgeable also, but palace uncomfortably full of visitors. Also, hot inside, maybe a little less time inside, as the true magnificence of Versailles can only be appreciated from the gardens. In closing, enjoyed the whole day, though numbers at Versailles were a little overwhelming.
The trip to Giverny was fantastic- Our guide Georgia made so good because of her knowledge - she shared so much about the area and Manet - fabulous! She made our trip - I would go on another tour with her any day / any country - Thank You so much! Versailles - very busy but a must see - just have to be prepared to deal with crowds! The gardens are spectacular!! I also had to call the office - all staff were very helpful!
Georgia was the most amazing, passionate and knowledgeable guide, her presentations on Monet made the day so enjoyable. Despite a record breaking heat wave in Paris, everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. I would highly recommend
