In the morning, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Muscat to commence your journey. During the 90-minute drive to Wadi Shab, enjoy the stunning coastline of Sur. At the entrance to Wadi Shab, take a boat across Wadi Lake. Then, walk to the Wadi Canyon and enjoy the spectacular rock formations, steep cliffs, sprawling fruit plantations, and pools along the way.  After the 45-minute walk, reach the famed pools. Slip into your swimwear and walk or swim into the smaller canyon. Move through the meandering pools to reach the spectacular last pool. Here you have to swim as the water is deep. At the end of the pool, you will reach an enchanting cave with a waterfall inside. After soaking in the captivating views of the cave, you can swim back. Stretch out in the sun and enjoy some snacks before heading back to Muscat. During the return drive, you will make a stop to take photographs at the Bimmah Sinkhole Lake Park.

Great wadi. Unique experience. If you don't want to leave your valuables unattended at the beginning of the water basin: you should definitely get a waterproof backpack. Our guide was actually just a driver, he said very little about the land and the wadi. And it was a bit weird that he was picturesquely disgusted by the water in the wadi on the way there and would therefore never swim there !?

I recommend this activity! You have to plan to walk about 40 minutes, then you put the stuff on a rock (unsupervised) and you start swimming! After having appreciated the place it is time to leave, collect your clothes and walk again to the parking lot. Take water and snacks with you that you will leave with your clothes while swimming. Garbage cans are on site for waste. If you don't have a waterproof phone bag, you can buy one on site. For Sinkhole, consider having a garment to cover the shoulders (women).

Guide Mohammed Rihami was very punctual and a very good guide.

The hike into the wadi we started at 10.00 h and already there it was very warm, about 30 degrees. We needed about 40 minutes with a short break. But it was very athletic - you have to bring a bit of physical fitness and definitely sturdy shoes. You were rewarded with fanastic views and you could swim in the wadi pool. A successful trip!
