We had a great day trip with our driver/tour guide Akwam. He’s very friendly, knowledgeable and personable. He took us to Nizwa Souk and the Fort. We had a second driver/tour guide, Murabak, for the steep mountain part. He’s a local celebrity and featured on the BBC! He was a super safe driver on the steep winding roads. He’s also very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this trip to see the mountains outside of Muscat. It’s a completely different environment worth the drive. We were lucky to see the beautiful green gardens and the end of Rose season.
