Step into one of the oldest glass factories in the world, active since 1295, and get an authentic look at lampwork and how tradition is combined with contemporary design and creativity. it was easy to meet the guide at the meeting spot-we then took the ferry over to the island and watched a demonstration (about 20 minutes). The man who did it was the owner. He had been making Murano glass since he was 9-10 years old! He noticed the animals on my girl's winter hats and made Murano glass pieces (cat and unicorn) right in front of them. That was super special. Then we all made bracelets or earrings (which I've worn several times since!) Our girls really loved this.

It was just perfect. We got to see the whole process and also got to buy a glass sculpture using the money we paid for money. More than satisfied with the experience.

Amazing tour with live demonstration of the glass blowing. Allowed to take home a souvenir of the same value too!

Great for families, tour is brief and glass blowing demo v interesting
