One Day Excursion to Munnar. Tea Garden, Tea Factory, Tea Museum. A tour designed for travelers who want to visit Munnar in 1 day saving an overnight stay.
The 4 hour long journey. ( Weekends, and Holidays longer. And also for large groups. ) Dedicated staff will make it more relaxed.
After an early morning pick-up from your Kochi hotel, travel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle for about 4 hours to Munnar. En route to Munnar, stop to see the Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls, and take a break for breakfast.
Munnar is a hill station that is known for its vast tea plantations and natural beauty. It was once a favorite summer retreat for British colonials.
Start your tour by visiting Mattupetty Dam, Kannandevan Tea Museum and Factory ( closed on Mondays ), then take a short walk through the tea plantations. There will be a break for lunch before heading back to your hotel in Kochi, with a stop at a spice plantation along the way.
The most famous hill station situated on the Western Ghats and apple in the eye of travelers Munnar is at a height of 1600 meters above sea level. It is essentially a tea town - miles of unending tea plantations, spice and herbal gardens.

  • This is private tour for just you and your companions. This tour is meant for travelers to Kochi who have just one day set apart for Munnar the spectacular region of Kerala especially with sprawling tea gardens.
  • We will be providing A/C.,Sedan A/C SUV.or A/C Van according to the size of the group. Up to 3 a Sedan, 1 to 6 SUV, Van 7 to 15.
  • The travel is 4 hours one way on normal traffic. But chances for slow traffic during weekends and holidays. Also if the size of group bigger than 6 we will be able to go slow. Our drivers are most skilled and experienced: more over they are most enthusiastic to attract entire satisfaction of the travelrs.

Our day tour was fantastic, despite the 4+ hours of driving by our driver and guide there and back. Subeesh attended to all our questions and needs. We had visits to wonderful places with incredible views of the mountains, valleys and surroundings of Munnar. We even got to see a very rare Indian giant squirrel. We traveled with a 9 year old child who tolerated the trip very well. We recommend this tour 100% if you have little time to be in Munnar. It is best to stay there for a few days.

The scenery of Kerala is spectacular, particularly when you get to the tea plantations. The journey, however, took us 6 hours as opposed to the 4 advertised, we then sat in a non moving traffic jam foe well over an hour before asking the driver to turn back. Our guide was sick for the day so we just had a taxi driver who knew little of the sites apart from their location Advise against doing this on a weekend and in the holidays as it seems everyone wants to go at the same time.
