Full description
In the seclusion of the mountains, King Ludwig II of Bavaria built 2 of his dream-castles: Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. This trip from Munich in a luxury air-conditioned tour-bus will allow you to visit these two important examples of western architecture. Neuschwanstein Castle, in its stunning position in the foothills of the Alps, is also one of the most impressive sights in Germany. Here you will have around 4 hours to explore comfortably every fascinating detail. Linderhof is the only castle that Ludwig the II managed to complete. Around noon you will take a rest at Hohenschwangau Castle, Ludwig's childhood home, for lunch (not included). In addition, you will stop for a short time in Oberammergau, for the opportunity to photograph this picturesque little town and its environs, and to do a little shopping.

our tour guide was great, the bus was nice and comfortable. Wifi was a little slow but free wifi is never fast. It has USB ports for chargers. The castles were extravagant, the only thing is the weather was bad during my tour and the Bridge for the view of Neuschwanstein castle was closed. Our guide gave us so much info, she was really great.

Nice tour! :) The tour guide tried very hard and made a great tour! On the way back there was a lot of unnecessary information that apparently bored many guests ... Otherwise very informative. What we found a little shame is that the information about King Ludwig's homosexuality was quite casual and circumscribing: "He was rather not interested in women". Why not speak out loud and clear? Is that such a taboo or is it dictated by the organizer? You can talk about it openly in 2021! Especially since the nice manager gave us a lot more information beforehand in a private conversation that was denied to everyone else. Otherwise it is a shame that there was nothing online about the fact that the stop in Oberammergau only takes place with the exact timing (it worked for us) and that you can only pay for the tickets on the bus with a card. Drink prices could also be noted online.

It was excellent. The guide was really talkative, and knew his history. It was great! We saw both castles and they also took us to a small town where the Nativity is put on every ten years. It was really wonderful. I will tell you that the bus will leave early if everyone is there from the beginning. So when they say arrive 15 min before...they really mean it. No time is wasted to get going in the morning. Our adult daughter went with us on this trip.
