Such an interesting place to see. Jeff our tour guide was brilliant and his knowledge of this time period was brilliant. Unfortunately, we weren’t given much time to have a look around the museum however, he did say it would take you years to see everything. It is a very cold place (not helped by snow) however, would dress warm as the tour was mainly outside a part from little visits to inside buildings.

Highly suggest having a guide to go through a tour like this because it brings the experience to life. Also getting to Dachau was so easy having someone in charge. I find that my husband and I always argue about how to get places and this took away that issue. Our guide Keith was awesome and brought all the stories to life with his passion for the topic. We loved hearing his accounts of talking with survivors.

How to take into account that you have no possibility to eat or drink coffee for five hours (nothing is allowed on the site). That struck us as seniors at 28 degrees rather raw on our roof. I wish I had known in advance! Furthermore, Mark-Oliver was our guide: entertaining storyteller; well informed, never bored for a minute. Recommended excursion.
