Full description

Enjoy a drive from Munich to the largest Bavarian Lake: the Chiemsee. On the way there will be plenty of short breaks for taking in the beautiful scenery. Take a boat ride to Herreninsel and learn of this breathtaking Island, on which stands a replica of the castle of Versaille. Enjoy a guided tour of this fantastic island dating back to the time of King Ludwig II, and take in the sights of the lakes surrounding it. After your tour there will be time to see the Augustian Monastery. Afterwards, you will continue by boat to the Fraueninsel. Here, there will be time to visit the Benedictine church. Finish the day with a gentle stroll around this stunning area, indulge in the area's fine foods, swim in the clear waters, or simply relax before we go back by boat.

my daughter and I had a great day. Armin our guide was fabulous, he was knowledgeable about the Palace, island, history of King Ludwig II and his attempt to copy on a grander scale the Palace of Versailles. Armin gave us enough direction and leeway to explore. it was a beautiful day in Lake Chimesse. The lunch on the Island was very good as well. A day trip well worth taking.

Die Tour war super organisiert und wir hatten bei bestem Ausflugswetter einen unvergesslichen Tag am und auf dem Chiemsee. Unser Guide/Fahrer (Mario) war bestens informiert und immer pünktlich zur Stelle. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns auch, dass wir am Nachmittag Zeit zur freien Verfügung hatten und so die Fraueninsel auf „eigene Faust“ erkunden konnten.

Our trip to the Palace of Herrenchiemsee was fantastic! We didn't have to stay in line in oder to buy tickets to the boat and Palace, our guide did everything for us, and provided us with timetable for the ship to Fraueninsel and back. The Palace impressed us very much, we liked it more than Versaille in France . We even had time for a short walk in the park. Fraueninsel is very nice, the weather was sunny, so we enjoyed our trip to Chiemsee very much!
