If you would like to visit the memorial at times when there is little crowding, the afternoon tour (1:10 PM) is recommended, as there are fewer school classes and groups on site at that time
This tour departs from the meeting point at the stated departure time. If you have difficulty walking or are in a wheelchair, you will need a carer and must arrive 10 minutes before departure at the meeting point, as you will use a different entrance for the platform and the train

Alex was our guide and he was great! We visited just as the Coronavirus started to close borders, which meant certain areas of the tour (the movie theater) had been closed. Alex was able to adapt the tour so we didn’t feel that we missed anything. Even though you can go on your own and do an audio tour for a little less, we got SO much more out of this trip by booking this tour. So much easier to navigate getting there/back, easier to navigate the memorial and see it in an order that made sense as well as knowing which items were original to the grounds and which had been updated since. Would recommend this 10/10.

I had Alex as a guide and we were only 4 in the group, so it was more of a private tour. From detailed explanations to a lovely, friendly atmosphere, everyhing far exceeded my expectations. Even though Dachau is a place of dark history and tragedies, the overall experience was definitely positive.

Our guide Ralph was very informative and friendly. We felt we got the most out of a guided tour as we got to learn intricate details that we would have not known otherwise. A trip to Dauchau is a must when in Munich, it’s quite sobering and heart rendering but an important piece of history and we would hestitate to recommend this tour.
