Exactly what this house looked like is not known. It became the life's work of Baron Etienne van Zuylen van Nijevelt: the rebuilding of the dilapidated De Haar family estate. And thanks to the fortune of his wife Hélène de Rothschild and the ideas of the great architect Pierre Cuypers, he succeeded wonderfully.
