From Tokyo: Mount Fuji and Hakone Private Day Tour
Meet the guide in Tokyo and get into the car. Drive past the skyscrapers and residential suburbs and then arrive at the lush green mountains. First, drive on a winding road on the scenic Subaru Line and then arrive at the 5th station of Mount Fuji, which is 7545 ft (2,300 meters) above sea level. Gaze at the view of Mount Fuji and see the summit if it is a clear day. After this, head to a ninja-themed restaurant to buy lunch. Then, continue to Owakudani Volcanic Area, an active volcanic area surrounding a crater that was made when Mount Hakone last erupted 3,000 years ago. Taste some kurotamago here, which are black eggs that have been boiled in sulfur water. Observe the geothermal activity, such as fumaroles and sulfatases. Next, take the Hakone Ropeway, a cable car, down to Ashi Lake. Get on a boat so you can cruise on the lake and enjoy the scenery. Finally, drive back to your hotel in Tokyo to complete the tour.
