Challenge yourself to climb the highest peak in North Africa in 2 days. The tour starts and finishes in the vibrant city of Marrakech, and includes transport to and from Imlil. You will trek with a local English-speaking guide, a local cook, and mules to carry your luggage. This is a challenging walk rather than a climb, and anybody in good physical condition can reach the top. Make sure you bring your camera; the views from the summit are spectacular. Mount Toubkal 4167m is the highest peak in North Africa, and is a trekking peak involving no climbing but may involve walking in crampons or holding an ice axe for security (November to April). The itinerary has been designed for keen walkers, as the ascent is non-technical, but does involve some easy scrambling and snow slopes. After the first day spent trekking, you will stay at the refuge where you will spend the night, and enjoy Berber hospitality. After an early breakfast the next day, set off and reach the summit as the sun rises, rewarding you with amazing views. The views from the summit are amazing across the mountains to Marrakech to the north, and the start of the Sahara to the south. During the ascent you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains, green valleys, and Berber Villages.

Your 2-day adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Marrakech and heads towards the High Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni. Throughout the drive, admire stunning views of the surrounding landscapes as well as a glimpse of local villages along the valley. Arrive at Imlil and meet your trekking crew for the trip, then enjoy a refreshing mint tea to set you up for a day of exploring. With your guides, head out towards Azzaden Valley via the Tizi Mzik pass where you can marvel at panoramic views over the valley as well as several neighboring Atlas peaks. Lunch is served at the top of the pass, so you can admire the views while you eat, then continue down the valley through the Juniper Forest to arrive at Tizi Oussem village. Spend the night at this traditional Berber site, meet the locals and learn about their culture and way of life. Enjoy a delicious and authentic tagine dinner surrounded by the peaceful tranquility of the mountains. After breakfast on day 2, soak up the sunshine that lights up this colorful valley before heading out towards Id Issa village. Spend some time exploring then trek to Tizi Oudid mountain pass walking through Matat village along the way. Arrive at a walnut grove and enjoy a relaxing lunch next to the river. Finally, return to Marrakech around 5pm.

Ourika Valley Day Trip is the closest day trip destination from Marrakech, due to its many waterfalls and beautiful nature, it is a very popular attraction, the Ourika valley extends between the first foothills of the Atlas mountains. About 64 km from Marrakech, the village is at the end of the road, but an off-road (towards Timichi) then a mule track continues down the valley to pass Tacheddirt and Oukaimeden, which has the best ski resort in Morocco and some interesting prehistoric rock carvings. The path also continues across the mountain to Imlil and Toubkal, making it a useful start/finish point for hikers. Walking around the valley requires a bit of effort and good shoes and comfortable clothing, there is a bit of rock climbing here and there to reach the seven waterfalls of Setti Fatma. Day 1: Marrakech - Imlil 1740m - Tizi Mzik pass 2479m - Red Valley - Tamsoult Refuge 2550m After breakfast in Marrakech, pick up & drive towards the high Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya & Asni, enjoy the stunning view of the villages along the valley . Arrival to Imlil (65km from Marrakech), meet the guide & multeer and then start the trek & climb Tizi Mzik pass (2479m), spectacular view over Imlil valley & Toubkal Summit, continue to Tamsoulte to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains (100m of hight) through juniper forest, Overnight at the Refuge, 5hrs walking. ( Imlil to Tamsoult - 11kms, up 800m and down 400m, 5-6 hours). Day 2: Tamsoult Refuge 2550m - Aguelzim Pass (3650) - Toubkal Refuge 3207m. Today is an intense day, in which we significantly increase the average altitude of the trek. Ahead of us we have the demanding ascent to the Aguelzim pass at 3450 m. The ascent is long but progressive. Once on the pass we will be able to admire the summit of Toubkal. We then descend towards the Toubkal base camp, at 3200 m. Walking time: 6h30. ( Tamsoult to Toubkal Refuge - 10 kms, up 1200m, down 300m, 6 hours ) Day 3: Toubkal Refuge 3207m - Toubkal summit 4167m - Imlil 1740m - Marrakech Up early for the climb up Toubkal (4,167 m) from where, clouds allowing, you will have wonderful views over the Atlas range and the Sahara desert. T hen a long way back down past the refuge and the well-worn path back to Imlil. This is a fairly long day with 8-9 hours of trekking, involving 900m up then almost 2,500 m back down to Imlil. You will normally be dropped off at around 5.00 pm in Marrakech. ( Toubkal Refuge to summit - 4 kms, up and down 980m, 5 hours Toubkal Refuge - 4 hours, down 1400m, 5 hours).

On the first day, ride to Imlil from Marrakesh and begin your trek. You'll head along the Ait Mizane Valley, pass through the village of Aremd and onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. You’ll follow mule tracks into the high rocky cliffs, climbing steadily above the snow line until you reach the Toukbal Refuge. Rest here for the night. On the second day, you’ll follow the southern circle route. The climb itself is not highly strenuous, but scree and altitude changes may make it difficult in parts. Don't worry - there are plenty of views to distract you along the way. When you reach the summit, soak in the 360-degree-view. You'll see the Marrakech Plain and the High Atlas Mountains to the north, all the way to the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert in the south.  From the peak, you’ll head back down the mountain and return to Marrakesh via Imill.

Embark on a popular and moderate day hike just outside of Marrakesh, ascending and descending almost 900m. Take in panoramic views of the Imlil and Imnane Valleys from several points along the route. After your early morning pickup from your hotel in the city, sit back and relax on the 64-kilometer ride towards the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive at the village of Imlil (1,740m), the starting point of your hike. Head up the Tamatert Valley to the Tizi n'Tamatert pass (2,280m) via the Berber villages of Ait Souka and Tamatert. From the pass, head into the Moroccan pine forest and pick up a trail that leads to the summit of the mighty Adrar Talamrout (2,600m). At the summit of Adrar Talamrout, take your time to marvel at the view of the Imenane Valley and the Berber villages of Amskere and Ikkiss sprawling beneath you, before beginning your descent back to Imlil. Enjoy a lunch break on your way down, and a relaxed drop off back in Marrakesh.

After the visit of the Anima Garden, we will enjoy a nice drive through Asni Valley for an hour until we reach Imlil village which is a relatively new creation. It was created to cater for the number of tourists pouring through en route to Toubkal: Morocco's Atlas Mountains highest peak (4,167m). It is certainly beautiful with much to catch the eye and mind. The mountain mass of Toubkal dominates the southern skyline. Berber villages abound as well as their intricate farming systems. This valley is very popular and visited by many tourists. There are many affordable activities to enjoy there. Such as a trek to Toubkal Summit. A kasbah style hotel (called "The Kasbah") is located towards the head of the valley. It sits on a rocky outcrop that gives commanding panoramic views to South mountains and Berber communities from all other directions. Having lunch here offers not only Moroccan delicious food but also, an opportunity to relax amid wonderful scenery. Many stops are made in order to take pictures in grand views and sights as well as to communcate with Berbers. We Will also take you for 2 hours walks as part of your trip to see more villages and the area small waterfall. Lunch will be taken in a Berber restaurant with a scenetic mountainous view. On our way back to Marrakech you will have the opportunity to stop at Argan cooperative to have an idea about the medical herbs and Argan products that local people use for skin care.

Climb the beautiful Mount Toubkal on this glorious 3-day trek through the wilderness, and visit some of the most spectacular places in the region, including the village of Imlil, the Toubkal Massif, the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch and the summit of Jebel Toubkal. The Itinerary: Climb Mount Toubkal Day 1: Transfer from Marrakech to Imlil Arrive from Marrakech the city of Imlil, an excursion that takes up to 4 hours. Settle into your accommodation in Imlil and rest up for the big trek in the morning. Day 2:Imlil and The Trek to Toubkal Refuge via Aremd & the Mizane Valley Leaving the city behind, enjoy a scenic ride south towards the craggy peaks and plunging valleys of the Toubkal Massif. Admire the valleys of the Oued Rhirhaia that stretch out into the distance as you disembark your vehicle and join your mountain guide for a trek along Mizane Valley toward the village of Aremd and then onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch and the cascading waterfall that rests beside it. Continue the trek, snaking and zigzagging your way up to the snowline and the Toukbal Refuge, where you will stop for the night. (4-5 hours of walking) Day 3 :Trek to The Summit of Jebel Toubkal & Return to Imlil Begin the day early as you continue your trek to the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Cross river streams and head across the fields of the mountains, navigating the endless carpet of boulders and rocks. Cresting the ridge line, find yourself on the plateau and stop to admire the breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape, including unrestricted views from the Marrakech Plain to the High Atlas in the north and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. Once you have reached the summit, gingerly begin your journey back down the mountain and towards Imlil. Then transfer back to Marrakech.
