Know before you go
- After a short briefing the excursion will begins with a cable car ride up to 2500 meters
- Given the continuous and unpredictable evolution of the volcanic activity, the excursions could undergo variations, or, in extreme cases, be cancelled, at the discretion of the guide for safety reasons
- Excursion is for moderately trained hikers
- The excursion is also possible for children aged ten and up
- To avoid any risks you should be in good health and inform your guide before the hike of any medical issues that may be impacted by the change in elevation throughout the hike
- The guide is entitled to stop the excursion for any reason that could compromise the safety and therefore the physical integrity of an individual or of the entire group
- Necessary gear: trekking boots with high socks, trekking poles, rock helmet (free rental), extra t-shirt, winter clothes, backpack (10-20L), water, snack and packed lunch
- It is recommended you wear long pants, and bring gloves, a hat, sunglasses
