Full description

Enjoy a hike on the highest, most active volcano in Europe. Explore a fascinating landscape and take in breathtaking views on this climbing adventure.

Start the tour with an early morning pickup from the meeting point chosen. On the way, there will be a stop for a coffee and to buy something to eat.

Arrive at the starting point for your off-the-beaten-track hike. Take advantage of a helmet and all the equipment you need for your hike.

As you begin to walk, admire the fascinating landscape of the Valle del Bove, the biggest depression of Mount Etna, and its moonlike deserts. From there take in the breathtaking views of the smoking summit craters and the surrounding landscape facing the Ionian Sea.

Finally, in the afternoon, get dropped off back in Catania where your tour concludes.

We had an amazing day out - really worth the time, effort and money! It was great to do a hike and be rewarded with incredible views, especially those off the beaten track Alessio and Ernesto made the experience seamless, we couldn’t recommend this tour more!

Our guide Ernesto was professional, courteous, and informative. We are in our 50s and exercise regularly. We did find the hike to be strenuous but manageable. Our guide stopped enough so that everyone kept up with the group. The scenery is incredible. This was money, time, and effort well spent -- the highlight of our 2 week trip.
