Full description

Enjoy a hike on the highest, most active volcano in Europe. Explore a fascinating landscape and take in breathtaking views on this climbing adventure.

Start the tour with an early morning pickup from the meeting point chosen. On the way, there will be a stop for a coffee and to buy something to eat.

Arrive at the starting point for your off-the-beaten-track hike. Take advantage of a helmet and all the equipment you need for your hike.

As you begin to walk, admire the fascinating landscape of the Valle del Bove, the biggest depression of Mount Etna, and its moonlike deserts. From there take in the breathtaking views of the smoking summit craters and the surrounding landscape facing the Ionian Sea.

Finally, in the afternoon, get dropped off back in Catania where your tour concludes.

We had an amazing day with our guide. He was very informative and fun, never a boring moment during the hike. He really has the right equipment and all the Decathlon in his truck, he was able to give us shoes even in the size of 36.😂 It is a tiring hike and the volcanic rock is really slippery, so be prepared for a “hike-in-sand” feeling, but he adjusts the tour to each and every group, so it will be suitable for your needs. Also, keep in mind, you’ll get VERY dirty. Absolutely recommend it, much more fun than just choosing the ski-lift!

It was a great experience.We left Catania earlier and arrive to Cafeteria. It was very nice to buy refreshments and go uphill along the valley. We got from the tour guide everything what we needed (helmet, jachet, boots, trecking sticks, ...) We heard perfect commentary to volcanic aktivity. Especialy we loved "jumping" down in volcanic ash 😄 Great and I would definitely recommended to it 👍
