Full description
History, tradition, countryside, waterfalls, food, Herzegovina has it all. If you only have one free day, venture into Herzegovina on this Discover Herzegovina day tour from Mostar and explore the region's highlights led by an expert local guide. Panoramic View of Mostar / Mostar Skywalk A ten minute ride from Mostar through green valleys and amazing views will take us to Fortica Hill. This is a place where you will feel amazing freedom and peace. It is about 35 meters long and 15 meters high above the slopes, the Fortica skywalk will provide absolutely amazing views over the entire city of Mostar. This is a perfect place to admire the hypnotizing playfulness of vibrant colors. Blagaj Old town Blagaj is a place where history, religion, and one of a kind nature mix together in a mystic-spiced combination. A Dervish house carved into a breathtaking cliff in the 16th century is a place where you can catch the bright sun, the blue sky, and freshwater from Buna spring, which is among the strongest springs in Europe. Buna channel Buna channel is a place where the river Buna flows into the river Neretva. A place where the blue-green beauty of the Neretva passes through a narrow natural channel created a thousand years ago. At the confluence of the Buna and the Neretva, nature offers the greatest splendor of colors, a combination of water, greenery, and stone. The scene is different every time, depending on the season and the amount of water in the canal. Počitelj Medieval stone town Počitelj is built in the 14th century by the order of Bosnian king Tvrtko. Often referred to as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s ‘open-air museum’, its location in a natural karst amphitheater on the bank of the Neretva river is both stunning and strategic. Along with its stunning oriental architecture and Ottoman feel, in Pocitelj you can always enjoy eating figs, grapes, pomegranates, and other various organic fruit. Kravice Waterfalls Kravice waterfalls is a beautiful oasis of peace a place where you are left to have a fun, swim, ride a canoe, relax on the nearby beaches, enjoy a cold drink with a beautiful view, or try delicious local specialties in restaurants located right across the waterfalls. It’s an oasis of life, it’s an oasis of fun, and it’s everyone’s favorite destination. Mostar War Museum The last stop of the Discover Herzegovina tour is a small outdoor Mostar War Museum. A short 15 min explanation of the latest war and what happened between the lines, with first-hand stories from your tourist guide’s experiences.

Our guide Esmer was outstanding. We've taken a lot of tours over the years and he was among the best. He kept up a flow of interesting information throughout the day. His personal experience made the tour more memorable. We can't recommend him too highly.

This is easily the best tour experience I have had in eight months of travel this year. Esmer is an exceptional guide - the amount of knowledge he shared with us about the culture, traditions, demographics, geography, history and his/his family’s own experiences of the war is truly astounding. He even brought us figs and grapes from his own garden! Don’t even hesitate to book this tour - you will not get a better tour guide than Esmer! The tour itself is exactly as described, with small groups of 8 or less, and many opportunities to grab something to eat along the way.

One of the best tours I have ever done! Esmer was such a knowledgable and inspiring guide, sharing stories of his experience living through the war. Left with a new outlook on this beautiful country, the challenges faced and how locals are moving forward. Would highly recommend!
