After departure from Dubrovnik you will take a short break on the Dubrovnik bridge for some scenic photography of the town. Continue along the Adriatic coast while learning about the various sites that you encounter along your route. When the tour reaches the town of Neum you can take a break for shopping and morning coffee. The tour then proceeds through a picturesque delta of the River Neretva to the small town of Pocitelj. In Pocitelj you will have an opportunity for sightseeing and free time. Pocitelj is a beautiful cultural and historical site featuring structures from the 15th century. Continuing to Medjugorje you will have more time for sightseeing and discovery. Medjugorje is a spiritual and religious site and is one of the most famous pilgrim destinations in the Catholic world. The trip was so good! The organisers were super accommodating with pick ups and on time. We didn’t have any trouble getting through the borders. You go first to the waterfalls which a beautiful I think entry to that was 80kunas then we drove to Mostar. The walking tour there was ok. You go to another small town on your way back. Throughout the drive the driver is telling you all about the areas you are driving through which was great as we learnt so much

  • Mostar and Medjugorje: Full Day from Trogir or Split

    2. Mostar and Medjugorje: Full Day from Trogir or Split

You’ll have the choice of departing from Trogir or Split on this full-day trip to the historical city of Mostar and the religious pilgrimage site of Medjugorje. In Mostar, your local tour guide will provide an introduction to the history of this city known as a window to the Orient. You’ll visit the old Bazaar, and admire the picturesque shops and workshops. See the city’s main mosque and then enjoy a walk across the famous 16th-century Turkish bridge, after which the town was named. You’ll have free time for shopping and the opportunity to taste authentic Bosnian specialties. Your second and final destination is the famous pilgrimage center in Medjugorje. For pilgrims and those who are looking for something spiritual there is a holy mass held, along with a visit to Apparition Mountain, where it is believed that the Virgin Mary made her first appearance to local children in 1981. This day tour exceeded our expectations, thanks to our guide Mile, the time on the road was as interesting as the tour itself. Mile shared a lot of interesting facts regarding Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in Mostar, we had an excellent guide sharing the city's history while guiding us through the old town. We had the opportunity to dine at an amazing restaurant called Tima-Irma an enjoyed a local mixed meat platter feast for two at very reasonable price. The Apparition Hill (a religious site) visit in Medjugorge was nice too, however this involves a bit of hiking on a rocky hill, which means proper footwear is recommended. The hike itself was worth it even for normal tourists. The tour lasted exactly 12 hours, border crossings were smooth and I thank the organisers for a well managed trip!

Great service from iTravel House. They even picked us up at the train station in Mostar. The train from Sarajevo arrives at 9.05 am (but plan on 9.15-9.30). Our guide spoke clearly and had lots of information about the history of Bosnia & Herzegovina. The sites were all interesting in their own right, though we found Blagaj and Kravica to be the most beautiful. There is quite a price discrepancy booking over Get Your Guide vs. booking on location - higher over Get Your Guide - and then there is an additional 7.5 Euro or 15 Mark fee for entries. It’s still a good deal, but Get Your Guide should work on price harmony. Would definitely recommend this trip and agency. iTravel House also offers a free walking tour of Mostar in the evening.

  • Authentic Day Trip Mostar - Kravice -Medjugorje From Split

    5. Authentic Day Trip Mostar - Kravice -Medjugorje From Split

First, discover the world-famous Stari Most (Old Bridge) - Mostar's indisputable visual focus. Its pale stone arch magnificently throws back the golden glow of sunset or the tasteful night-time floodlighting. Next, the Trebižat river is the perfect setting for a relaxing boat ride in a traditional wooden boat. You'll see nature's best from the banks, hear about the old customs and traditions while having a drink. The pristine aquafer waters of the Trebizat River are home to brown trout & crabs and during the summer months you're more than welcome to go for a swim. After the ride a local lunch is included with loads of homemade delicacies. Your guide and their family would then love to host you on a hands-on culinary tour which starts in the fields, where you pick the organically grown crops and become part of the cooking experience. Menus vary from traditional pies where you roll your...

Ante was extremely knowledgeable and was kind enough to set up the tour for us on very short notice. The destinations are beautiful, and the highlight of the day is the farm-to-table meal, which we enjoyed at Ante's family farm. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to visit Mostar and the other areas - or anywhere else that Ante serves.

The tour group was very small, just 5 passengers plus the driver, who also was the guide. The small number allowed us to get to know each other as well as gain insight into Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was a long day of touring, but it went by quickly. The driver actually gave us an option of seeing Kravice Falls or Medjugorje. He dropped me and one other passenger off at the falls, and took the other three to the pilgrimage site. Both our driver/guide and the tour guide in Mostar were very informative.

Great tour, it was the best way to visit Medugorje and Mostar. Our group was small and the guide was fantastic, he explained everything very well. I would totally recommend this trip to everyone!!
