  • Blue Grotto & Sunday Market at Marsaxlokk Fishing Village

    1. Blue Grotto & Sunday Market at Marsaxlokk Fishing Village

Your 5-hour tour starts at the Blue Grotto. Made up of sea caverns on the southern coast of Malta, the Blue Grotto caverns are west of Wied iz-Zurrieq Harbor and across the small uninhabited islet of Filfla. Every day from sunrise until about 13:00 the cave's unique location allows sunlight to reflect in the water to create numerous shades of brilliant blue. Several caverns mirror the brilliant phosphorescent colors of the underwater plants. Other caverns show a deep dark shade of blue. If weather permits, you can do a 20 minute boat trip around the caves for an extra fee. You will then drive to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Vibrant, colorful Marsaxlokk Market offers a great opportunity to experience the local life. Browse the stalls where fresh fish and seafood are sold, and barter for honey, fruit jams, wine, vegetables, clothing, and souvenirs. You'll have free time to explore...

It was great. The blue grotto is a must see. And the guide was very friendly and informative. Although the fish market wasn’t that interesting. It was all just plastic tat.

Beautiful excursion, even if to visit the caves up close you have to take an additional 8 euros, it is worthwhile, The fishing village is suggestive, the market is nice, but watch the clock because the time available seems a lot but passes quickly. in Italian.

Great activity, everything is very well organized from start to finish! The return is taken care of, contrary to what is marked. To do!!

The grotto very well with sun. The crowds on the market are bad.

We were not informed of the possibility of renting a boat to St. Peters Pool. It was the highlight of the day !!!

Pleasant excursion with the friendly Marc and the very professional driver Lino
