Be picked up from any hotel in Malta and board an airconditioned bus and relax on the drive to Cospicua. Pass through the city to admire sights like its double-fortified harbor city.  Continue to Vittoriosa, which is significant for its long history of maritime, mercantile, and military activities. Prior to the establishment of Valletta, military powers that wanted to rule the Maltese islands, needed control Vittoriosa, due to its Grand Harbor. Head to the city of Senglea, which managed to resist the Ottoman invasion at the Great Siege of 1565. Walk through the charming narrow streets of the town, shaded by dozens of historic churches and buildings. Make your way to the Marsovin cellars in Marsa. Start your cellar tour with a historical introduction, followed by an explanation about the process of how locally grown grapes are pressed, fermented, and eventually transformed into wine. Take this 5-hour archaeological tour and travel back to prehistoric times at Hagar Qim, Mnajdra, and the Ghar Dalam cave and museum in Malta. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Megalithic Temples of Malta date back 5,500 years and are the oldest free-standing stone structures in the world. Continue to the fragile temples of Hagar Qim, located on a ridge capped in soft globigerina limestone on the southern edge of Malta. You will also explore the neighboring Mnajdra temples, which are considered possibly the best example of Maltese megalithic architecture still standing. The surrounding area is typical of Mediterranean garrigue (low level scrub) in its starkness, and has been designated as a Heritage Park. A few hundred meters from the temple you will discover the Hamrija Tower, one of the 13 watchtowers built by Grand Master Martin de Redin, one of the legendary Knights of Malta.

3. Half-Day Tour of Mosta, Ta'Qali Crafts Village & Mdina

Visit three of Malta's most distinct attractions on this half-day tour in the heart of the island. Explore the town of Mosta and stop in at the Church of St. Mary, which features one of the largest domes in the world. On April 9, 1942 a German bomb pierced the dome and fell among a congregation of more than 300 people, but did not explode. The event has become legendary, with many regarding it as a miracle. A replica of the bomb can be seen in the church's sacristy. Then visit the nearby village of Ta'Qali, where a former British military outpost has been converted into handicraft workshops. Here you can watch local artisans at work blowing elaborate glass art pieces, intricately assembling silver filigree jewelery, and carving local limestone. Finish with a visit to Mdina, Malta's ancient capital and one of the world's best medieval fortifications. Admire panoramic views of the entire Maltese landscape, and visit St. Paul's Cathedral ̶ built on the site where governor Publius was reported to have met St. Paul following his shipwreck off the Maltese coast.

Enjoy a scenic half-day tour of Malta and get fantastic views from the island’s highest point. Visit the historic Palazzo Falson in Mdina, and wander around Buskett Gardens on the grounds of Verdala Palace. Your first stop is Palazzo Falson, a medieval townhouse in Mdina. There, explore a house-museum with seventeen rooms of historic domestic belongings and a number of antique collections. Admire a building that's believed to have been built around 1495, probably incorporating parts of a 13th-century building, and further enlarged in the mid-16th century Next, drive to Dingli Cliffs, the highest point in Malta. The isolated Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene on the towering rocks makes for a charming landmark. Built in the 17th century, the chapel offers some of the most stunning views in Malta, including to the tiny uninhabited islet of Filfla. Your final stop will be Buskett Gardens in the fertile valley of Wied il-Luq at Siggiewi. At their best in spring, the gardens also offer shade from the harsh mid-summer sun and a quiet place for a walk in winter. Explore the beautiful gardens, located in the grounds of Verdala Palace, official residence of the President of Malta. During the scenic tour, you will also pause for coffee, when you will get the chance to sample some of Malta’s traditional pastizzi, diamond-shaped savory pastries, often filled with ricotta.

Benefit from pickup at your hotel in Valletta, and then take a bus tour of the city to see the monuments illuminated after dark. Admire the floodlit fortifications and stop on the waterfront to take souvenir photos. Proceed to Barrakka Gardens to get a breathtaking view of the Grand Harbor. Then, stroll over to the Malta 5D show and watch in awe as the history of the island is brought to life from a fresh perspective.
