It was really easy to purchase the tickets online, our guide (Olivia) was waiting for us at the meetingpoint. Only feedback I am giving: it was hard to recognise who was our guide because we expected there to be a logo on her clothes, but there wasn't. Our guide gave us a listening device and earplugs. During the tour she talked through the microphone, we really liked this system because she didn't have to scream to be heard and we didn't have to walk close to her all the time to be able to hear her. This made it easy to make pictures for example. Olivia was such a great guide, during our 2 hour tour we didnt feel bored at all. It was really really interesting and her voice was nice to listen to. She answered all our questions and at the end gave us a coupon for free soup (traditional Spanish cold soup).
Really enjoyed listening to the in depth historical knowledge from our guide Stephanie... she had an intensive knowledge about the Mosque Cathedral as she was born and raised in the city and we could feel the love she had for her city. She gave us a beautiful informative tour and we really enjoyed how comfortable she made us feel. Thank you Stephanie. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in Muslim history in Al Andalucia.
Took train from Sevilla to Cordoba for the tour. Tour guide Inma was great. The Mezquita was spectacular, perhaps one of the most beautiful/historic/amazing sites I've every seen. The Alcazar was interesting. Inma did a great job bringing it alive. The Synagogue was OK. If you're coming to Cordoba for the day, then a visit to all three is worthwhile. If you're there for non-vacation reasons, make the Mezquita your number one place to see.
We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour. Our guide had diagrams to show how the building had been extended over the years. She was able to show us where we were inside the building. She was also very adept at avoiding large groups. ( we were a family group of 3 ) Her in-depth knowledge meant that we learnt much more than if we had been on our own.
The guide clearly knew his stuff and allowed me to relax, look and listen to understand the fascinating history of the, Mezquita. Also need to give a shout out to the customer service team at GYG, who were available at 1 am and reacted swiftly to correct the date of my visit. Impressive service.
