Following pickup from your accommodation, you'll head to the Materuni Village. Once there, take a short but challenging hike to the Materuni Falls where you can enjoy the beautiful views. Following that, visit a coffee farm to learn about how coffee is grown, harvested, and processed. You will then try your hand at roasting and preparing a fresh cup of raw and local coffee. Once your coffee-making experience has concluded, head to the Materuni village for a local lunch. You will then drive to a warm-water spring, which is one of the best places to swim in the area. At the conclusion of your experience, your friendly driver will return you back to your accommodation.

Materuni Waterfalls Materuni Village is located 15 kilometers north of Moshi. It is the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park, about 95 kilometers from Africa Safari Arusha. Day 1: Arrival in Arusha City Serengeti Mara Safaris guide will pick you up at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) and take you to their office in Arusha. Accommodation: Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel / Venice Hotel Day 2: Arusha / Moshi to Tarangire National Park After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel by the driver/guide and drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna, and Tarangire River in search of many animals, including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe. There is so much to see on this day. Accommodation: Karatu Safari Camp Lodge Day 3: Serengeti National Park After breakfast, drive up the crater highlands, stopping at the rim for a spectacular view of the Ngorongoro Crater. Continuing as far as the eye can see is the vast Serengeti. Serengeti means "endless plain" and more than two million wildebeest inhabit this 6900 square miles (18000 square kilometers) park. Large predators, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey, which migrates throughout the park. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares also inhabit the area, along with nearly 500 species of birds. Accommodation: Africa Safari Ikoma Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Simba Camp Today, you will wake up very early in the morning for a sunrise game drive in Serengeti National Park. Later at noon, you will return back to the campsite/rest house for a brunch/lunch and then you will continue with the afternoon game drive. Later in the late afternoon, you will drive to Simba campsite in Ngorongoro for an overnight stay. Accommodation: Africa Safari Ikoma Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Today, you will wake up very early to do an early morning safari before breakfast to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sunrise in front of you. The sunrise in the African Savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. You will then travel to Ngorongoro Crater, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. After a full-day game drive( 5 hours/ 6 hours), you can expect to be back in Arusha around 6:00 p.m. Spend the night in Arusha. Your guide will drive you to Materuni -the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park- where the waterfall is located. At a height of 85m it is the tallest waterfall in the country’s northern region. From the village you will hike for about 40 minutes down to the waterfall where you can enjoy the cool water from Kilimanjaro mountain. On leaving the waterfall you will be taken to a nearby community to learn about Arabica coffee. You will then have guided instructions on how to prepare coffee manually, from scratch, using local utensils and techniques. After enjoying some freshly brewed organic coffee you will relax to a lunch of typical Tanzanian dishes. We then set off for our final stop, Chemka Hot spring.
